Although there is no direct acces to the section in Bus. This is one closest LMT section to Beirut, around 1 hour to get to Falougha (the starting point) without a car ! After passing by Nestlé factory, you will get into the mountain and enjoy nice views on Falougha and its valley. Going further on the path, you will discover a commemoration site with the first Lebanese flag floating for the first time in Lebanon in 1943. From there you will reach the Lamartine Valley, named after the french poet after his visit to the valley in 1838. After crossing the Beirut - Damas road and meeting some shepherd based here for srping and summer, you will slowly enter into the Shouf. The Section 17 ends at the entrance of the Shouf Reserve ! I can't wait for tomorrow :-) !
